Valentina Suárez

FDLA Spotlight

With a solid foundation in fashion design, she is a Colombian-born, Uruguay-raised professional dedicated to reshaping the industry through circularity and conscious leadership. Since 2016, she has served as the co-founder and General Director of Universo MOLA, the Latin American sustainable fashion movement under the Foundation Entre Soles y Lunas.

A recognized voice on the global stage, she has shared her expertise on consciousness, sustainability, and design at over 200 international conferences. Her leadership in the sector is further evidenced by her role as the President of the Sustainable Fashion Committee at Premios Latinoamérica Verde 2020 and her work as the host of the Green Carpet 2020.

Her commitment to change extends to active fieldwork; she has directly empowered more than 500 companies and entrepreneurs across Latin America through specialized bootcamps and mentorship programs. Since 2019, she has also shaped the next generation of professionals as a professor, focusing on fashion, sustainability, and inclusion within both universities and professional organizations.

She holds a certification in Sustainable Fashion Product Management from the Milano Fashion Institute and the Galileo Visionary District, and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Corporate Sustainability.
