Martha Phillips

FDLA Spotlight

Martha Phillips approaches fashion through a lens of pure intuition. Her relationship with style is profound and personal, cultivated over years of keen observation, rigorous discipline, and an unwavering conviction in the transformative power of clothing.

At just nineteen, she founded her first boutique in Northern Mexico, launching a trajectory marked by constant growth, relentless work, and a unique sensitivity for dressing a sophisticated clientele. Her approach—always intuitive and precise—has been guided by the philosophy that true elegance lies in coherence rather than fleeting trends.

Beyond fashion, Martha is a versatile entrepreneur. Her diverse business portfolio includes representing fine jewelry for private companies, managing a digital storefront, and even developing her own creative projects, such as a custom board game.

Her move to the United States marked a period of reinvention. Embracing a more intimate model centered on connection and personalized guidance, she founded Girl du Monde in 2015—a natural extension of her aesthetic universe. In 2020, amidst the uncertainty of the global pandemic, she reaffirmed her creative drive by launching three distinct collections: lounge, denim, and haute couture, showcasing her remarkable ability to evolve during challenging times.

Today, operating between New York and an international client base, Martha’s work transcends fashion. It is an ongoing exploration of identity, self-assurance, and personal style, where she continues to adapt without ever losing her essence.
